WELCOME TO THE THAMES VALLEY BEAGLE CLUB, NAPIER, ONTARIO

The Thames Valley Beagle club was formed in 1939. It is one of the oldest established clubs serving the sport of Beagling in Canada. In 1959 they purchased eighty-seven acres of land near the Hamlet of Napier Ont. The Sydenham River borders this beautiful rolling land. Its winding creeks, thorn tree cover, and planted pines make it a true haven for all types of wildlife. After much hard work by members over the years, the grounds now consists of well groomed paths, a clubhouse, camping area, kennels etc.

Although the prime purpose of the property is the running of field trials and dog training it also lends it to other activities. Such as hiking, bird watching, fishing, canoeing, tobogganing, and cross country skiing. Motorized vehicles are not permitted. The sport of Beagling along with the many other activities that can be enjoyed make membership in the club something for the whole family. Come join us for a day or weekend as a Beagler or just a friend of nature.

Thames Valley Beagle Club Inc. Alison Dale Trial April 5 2009

On Sunday morning it was a bit frosty and nippy. As the morning went on it warmed up and turned out to be a beautiful sunny day for our first trial of the year. It was a very friendly cheerful atmosphere for the many new visitors that TVBC had out for the day. They like the way things were run, enjoyed talking to people and watching how a field trial was run.  Thames Valley Beagle Club always welcomes any new or old quests at our clubhouse and grounds. It is always a pleasure to meet potential new and old beaglers at the trials.

We had a very good turn out of people and entries. There were 21 entries in the 13" combined class that was judged by Mark Hardy and Jeremy Hagen. There were 10 entries in the 15" combined class judged by Tyler Manders and Justin Veens.

The results:
!3" combined
1st. Misty owned by Bill Bently
2nd Gypsy owned by Herb Schiller
3rd. rowdy owned by Jordon Veens
4th. Jack owned by Bob & Karen Mitton
5th. Axle owned by Tyler Manders
15" combined
1st. Gypsy owned by Norm Smibert
2nd. Lightning owned by Mark Hardy
3rd. Sparky owned by Bob & Joan Murray
4th. Hickory owned by Mark Hardy
5th. Spike owned by Bob & Joan Murray

At the conclusion of the 15" class there was a run off with Gypsy and Misty judged by Tyler, Justin, Mark, Jeremy and Chris Dewsbury. After a very good display of hound work by both dogs it was decided that Misty was the absolute winner for the day. Congratulations to Bill Bently.
Bill Bently was the proud winner of the 50-50 draw as well.

The Thames valley Beagle Club Inc. would like to thank everyone for coming out, having fun, enjoying themselves and making this a successful trial.

See you on May 2 & 3 / 09 for our CKC approved brace trial.
