Sunday was a super day for running a field trial especially for derbies. The judges for the 13`` class of 11 starters were Grant Chauvin and Jeremy Hagen. One judge was overheard to say it was an excellent class of upcoming 13`` young hounds. They were able to finish this class in time for the 15`` class to start at 1 pm. Rabbits for the afternoon class were harder to find. Judges were John Veens and Pat Campea. The show was judged by Jim Borrowman and Tightline Hickory was declared the Best in Show. After the show the field winner of the 13 ``combined class ran against the field winner of the 15 `` combined class. The above 4 judges declared that Alloa`s Wee Jim was the best in the field for the 2008 Derby. Special thanks to Ken Powell and Sri Chauvin for feeding the hungry field trialers. Art Hillman, guest and old time beagler, won the 50-50 draw and donated it back to the club. It was a long day and everyone went home smiling.
